Learn How to Make Stabilised Paste Camembert and Haloumi Cheese – Saturday 26 September

$85.00

The Urban Cheese Company is kicking off its season of cheesemaking classes with two new cheeses not workshopped before together in one class: Stabilised Paste Camembert and Haloumi.  In New Zealand this is the style of camembert we are used to eating and it is the style that suits many of our cooking recipes too, like a summer vegetable soup.  Curds are stabilised through washing and heating and then a bloomy rind is developed so lots of techniques are learnt.  Haloumi is a perfect cheese for the warmer months, pairing beautifully with BBQ vegetable kebabs or adding a salty, golden bite to a fresh garden salad when grilled or fried.  Plenty of time to practice these two to perfection ready for the Christmas entertaining season.

The class will start at 12.30 pm and will finish around 5pm.  They are held in our home kitchen at 3/1314 West Coast Road, West Melton.  The location and a photo of the driveway off the road can be found on our Contact Page.  Look for the sign at the end of our driveway.

There is a maximum of 7 people per class.

If you are unwell please contact us 24 hours before the start of the class you can choose either a refund or to book onto a future class.

Gift cards can be used to pay for classes.
