Flora danica is a mesophilic aromatic culture.  We have containers available depending on the amount of culture you want.  The package sizes are 10u, 50u & 500u which depending on the recipe are sufficient culture for around 100 L, 500 L or 5,000 L of milk. Great for cheeses such as Gouda, Edam, Leerdam, Camembert and Blue Cheese.

Description

Description:  Flora danica is a mesophilic aromatic culture, type LD. This culture produces flavor and CO2. This culture is primarily used to make the following cheeses- Gouda, Edam, Leerdam, Camembert, Blue Cheese, etc

Packaging:   5mL flat bottom tube, 30 mL pottle, or full sachet.

Amount:  10u which is sufficient for around 100 L of milk subject to the recipe, 50u sufficient for around 500 L of milk and 500u sufficient for around 5,000 L of milk.

 This Flora danica culture contains:

Lactococcus lactis subsp. cremoris
Leuconostoc
Lactococcus lactis subsp. lactis
Lactococcus lactis subsp. lactis biovar diacetylactis

Storage and handling:  < -18 °C / < 0 °F. i.e. in the Freezer
Shelf life:     At least 24 months from date of manufacture when stored according to recommendations.
