Description
A jug is much more stable than a measuring cone meaning you are less likely to accidentally knock over your measured and diluted ingredients. Very useful for diluting rennet and calcium chloride and activating lipase prior to adding to your milk. I place my jugs on a piece of kitchen paper and use a black felt pen to write below each jug what ingredients they hold in the order that I add them to my milk. This way you can prepare your dilutions all at the same time to ensure that you do not forget anything and that everything goes into your milk in the correct order!
A sturdy handle and a pour spout with very accurate measurements in increments of 5ml make this jug a simple but indispensable piece of cheese making equipment. They can be placed in boiling water to sterilise them if you wish and are dishwasher safe although the manufacturer does recommend the top shelf of your machine. The measurement increments are raised and foiled. The black markings are heat stamped onto the surface making them extra durable but inevitably they will diminish with years of use, but the raised markings will always be present.
